When filter press starts to work, the hydraulic cylinder piston pushes the keep plate to press filter plates, causing the adjacent filter plates to form a filter chamber. Liquid is discharged through the drain after passing through filter cloth, while solid matter is left in the filter chamber to form a filter cake with low water content.
